Overeaters Anonymous is a 12-step fellowship where thousands have found freedom from food and body obsession. Through this program, our members have experienced recovery from eating disorders, including compulsive overeating, obesity, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, restricting, over-exercising, and body dysmorphia. Members from diverse backgrounds worldwide have joined together, discovering hope, love, and understanding .

In addition to the newcomer meetings listed above, OA offers specific focus meetings. These offer spaces where members can connect with others who share similar experiences or attributes. These include meetings focused on: 100-pounders, anorexia/bulimia, Asian Pacific Islander Desi (APID), atheist/agnostic/secular, bariatric surgery, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), ebony, body image, health issues, LGBTQ+, men, neurodivergent/neurodiverse individuals, women, young adults, creativity and recovery, and OA-focused recovery members in other 12-step programs.
